In a world, where black magic and witch doctors are considered as part of the mythical past, the documentary – Seeking magic – takes us to Kosov@, a land caught between times, where many still visit mystical healers for guidance and cures for their ailments. This documentary follows the journeys of two young women, who after losing hope in other avenues, each turn to such magical doctors to find solutions for their problems. But are the healers just another segment of the patriarchal system that has traumatized every single women who come to them for help, or are they truly casting away evil spells and bringing luck upon their patients?
Attention: SEEKING MAGIC is not screening in Prishtina, since it will be released on a later date, but it will screen in Sarajevo, Amsterdam and Skopje.

The film Chacharija is about the Chakavian dialect of the ethnic subgroup
that lives in several villages on the Gorjanac mountain near Kostanjevice
at the border with Croatia. The oral tradition of these villages tells that
they arrived here in the time when ‘Uskos’ moved to Gorjance..

A visit of two Romany couples to Kosov@ opens up a parallel world both at the margins and in the midst of Kosovar society. Snapshots from a circle of life, love, labor and loss intertwine to tell very different kind of stories. Almost without noticing, the viewer enters these lives and is intrigued to find out more about them. The tone and the images, while overall quiet and matter-of-factly, convey a wide range of emotions and moods, from vivacious to hopeless, from light to somber and black.

hygiene? What does it still mean? How do people – men and women – feel
about beards nowadays? And how come Sebastian's father still wears his? He
doesn't know his father without his beard. Is he hiding something? Is he
silently rebelling, perhaps? A documentary about beards turns into a personal
story between a son and his father.

Noah and Sjoerd are skateboarders and frequently visiting an old skatepark in
the suburbs. On an afternoon a car with unfamilliar skaters pulls up. Noah and
Sjoerd are invited by these older guys to come and skate the cool skatepark
in the city. What was supposed to be a short skate-session before the evening
starts, turns out a night not to be forgotten.
